The Best Audiobooks of 2014 Blog Hop & Giveaways!

Last year was a very good audiobook year for me. I listened to 49 audiobooks, some of them were excellent, some good, others not so good, and I had my first audiobook DNF ever.

In 2014, for the first time, I listened to audiobooks of books I already read and it was a really good experience. Actually, I loved doing it and I’m planning on doing it this year with some of my favorite series like the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews.

For this post I’m supposed to select my Five Favorite Audiobooks of 2014, but as you know me, picking only five it’s almost impossible for me… I know, I know. So, I’m going to cheat a little bit.  How can I cheat only a little bit? I’m including three series with the corresponded audiobooks and I’m counting each of these series as one audiobook. I know… sneaky, sneaky.

These audiobooks are organized in chronological order:

Cast in Ruin
Chronicles of Elantra #7

The Fault in Our Stars

The Stormlight Archive
The Way of Kings
The Stormlight Archive #1
Words of Radiance
The Stormlight Archive #2

The Riyria Revelations*
Theft of Swords*
The Riyria Revelations #1-2
Rise of Empire*
The Riyria Revelations #3-4
Heir of Novron*
The Riyria Revelations #5-6

The Rosie Project

* Audiobooks of books I already read.

I loved these audiobooks so much I want you to give them a chance too; for that reason I’m giving away to One Lucky Winner one of these audiobooks - you can select any book from the Chronicles of Elantra series - Winner’s choice.

  2. I loved THE ROSIE PROJECT and THE FAULT IN OUR STARS too - great audios! The others on your list have not been on my radar yet.

  3. I'm going to cheat too... and recommend two series... The World of Fae by Terry Spear - each one is a darling treat - AND the Gods' Trilogy by Debra Holland - an epic fantasy. I also loved Talon by Julie Kagawa - I'm a huge fan of her books and I love dragons!

  4. The Fault in Our Stars on audio was amazing. I think my all-time favorite audiobook(s) though is the Iron Druid Chronicles --- Luke Daniels has the most amazing voices for all the characters.

    Liza @ Classy Cat Books

  15. Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson was probably my favorite listen last year. Ach! There are so many to pick from! So hard to pick just one!

  17. Yes! The Fault in Our Stars is awesome on audio! One of my fave audiobooks!

  18. I didn't listen to many, but I loved Remy by Katy Evans

  28. My favorite audiobook read of 2014 was probably Cade by Liliana Hart. I had never read her before but I had gotten the kindle edition either free or for 99 cents. When I saw that it was whispersync eligible with the professional narration upgrade for $3.50 I decided to try it since I'm basically only reading audiobooks now. I was pleasantly surprised!
